Marketing consulting
Marketing consulting for SMEs, with a method
Audit, strategy and marketing plan, coordination of those who deliver the work and results monitoring. Independent of agencies and platforms, with the numbers always on the table.
In short. Studio Salatino provides marketing consulting for Italian SMEs using the management consulting method: an audit of data and channels, a marketing plan with measurable goals and a budget, coordination of your in-house team and suppliers, and regular reports with KPIs and variances. It does not run campaigns and has no stake in your advertising budget: it sets the strategy, coordinates those who deliver it and measures the results.
Who it’s for
For SMEs that want marketing accountable to the numbers
You want to grow with clear goals
You have revenue or new-customer targets and want a marketing plan that actually gets you there.
You already invest, but without certainty
You spend on campaigns, social media or agencies but don’t know precisely what pays off and what doesn’t.
You have several suppliers to coordinate
Agency, freelancers, in-house team: you need overall coordination to get them all pulling in the same direction.
You’re entering a new phase
New product, new market, generational handover: marketing needs rethinking from scratch.
Our services
Three services, one journey
They follow one another in the programme: you can start with the audit and decide step by step how to continue. Alternatively, consulting sessions.
Service 1
Marketing audit
An objective snapshot of your starting point.
We analyse your website, search, campaigns, social media, email and CRM: costs, conversions and the role of each channel in the customer journey. We study your customer segments and their value, and benchmark you against your competitors.
You receive a document with KPIs, evidence and priorities: even if you stopped there, you would know where to act.
Service 2
Strategy and Marketing Plan
Where to go, how, with what budget and how to measure it.
We define positioning and SMART goals with a baseline calculated from the data, prioritised and budgeted actions, KPIs with month-by-month targets and responsibilities for your team and suppliers.
You read, comment on and approve the plan in your client area: it becomes the point of reference for everyone.
Service 3
Implementation and monitoring
The plan becomes concrete activities, measured every month.
We coordinate your in-house team, agencies and freelancers with project management: clear activities, deadlines and responsibilities. Every month, a report with KPIs and variances against the plan, updated forecasts and corrective actions.
It is a monthly service, with a minimum term and notice period stated in the proposal: see what each month includes.
The difference
Why not an agency, why not a freelancer
| Aspect | Marketing agency | Consultant or freelancer | Studio Salatino |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting point | The channels and services it sells | The individual's skills | Your company's business goals |
| Stake in the budget | Often tied to packages or a percentage of spend | Varies | None: we are independent of suppliers and platforms |
| Method | Operational, campaign by campaign | Personal, rarely documented | A 6-phase journey with documents, approvals and project management |
| Data analysis | Platform reports, often vanity metrics | Limited to the tools they use | Journeys, segments, customer value and forecasts, with statistical rigour |
| Who does the work | The agency itself, which also measures its own results | The consultant, if they have time | Your team and the best suppliers, coordinated and measured by us |
| Transparency | Periodic PDF reports | Emails and meetings | Client area with journey, documents, KPIs and variances, always up to date |
| What the business keeps | Little, once the contract ends | Depends on the individual | Method, data, documents and team skills |
What we don’t do, by choice
- We don’t run campaigns, social media or content ourselves: we coordinate and measure them.
- We take no percentage of your advertising budget and no commissions from suppliers.
- We don’t promise results before looking at the data.
Frequently asked questions
Marketing consulting: your questions answered
What is the difference between a marketing consultant and an agency?
An agency carries out activities (campaigns, content, social media) and usually measures its own results. A consultant sets the strategy and checks that marketing achieves the company’s goals. Studio Salatino works as a management consultant: analysis, planning, coordination of those who deliver the work and independent measurement.
What does the marketing audit include?
The state of your channels (website, search, campaigns, social media, email, CRM), costs and conversions, the customer journey from first contact to sale, customer segments and their value, a comparison with competitors and the priorities for action. You receive it as a document in your client area, with KPIs and evidence.
What does the marketing plan include?
Positioning, measurable goals with a baseline calculated from the data, prioritised and budgeted actions, indicators with month-by-month targets, a timeline and responsibilities for your team and suppliers.
How often will I receive reports?
Every month you receive a report with KPIs and variances against the plan’s goals: it explains what went well, what didn’t, and sets out the corrections. It is included in the implementation and monitoring service, together with the quarterly review [DA DEFINIRE: confermare] and the annual summary [DA DEFINIRE: confermare].
Do you only work in Calabria?
No. The Studio is based in Corigliano-Rossano (Cosenza) but works with SMEs all over Italy: calls, meetings and the client area are all online.
